With innovation in its DNA, Nickelodeon announced its game changer initiatives this season – Launch of the groundbreaking action-comedy series SHIVA on Nickelodeon; launch of a NICK HD+ — India’s first HD Channel in the kids category and a strong growth plan for SONIC.

In the last few years, Nickelodeon has turned the tables by creating path breaking localized content appealing to children in India. After the phenomenal success of Motu Patlu and Pakdam Pakdai the channel is back again with an all new local property for kids. Leading the local content game in the kids’ entertainment space, Nickelodeon is all set to launch its third Made in India animated series – SHIVA. India’s first contemporary high octane action-comedy series. SHIVA is the story of the 9 year old brave, fearless and intelligent boy who stays in Vedas city with his Nana & Nani.  Every story in the show starts with an incident that threatens Vedas City. A true hero, SHIVA along with his amazing gang of friends sets out to save the day with the help some cool gadgets like the super bike developed by him. This Diwali kids will fall in love with the SHIVA – A super-kid with extraordinary talent, intellect and ability.

This season, kids are going to be entertained in high definition! In another pioneering initiative in the category, Nickelodeon launches the first ever HD channel in India for kids – Nick HD+. The franchise boasts off some of the most popular local and international kid’s shows.  From evergreen hits like Motu Patlu, Pakdam Pakdai, Ninja Hatori, to Dora the Explorer, Sponge Bob Square pants and Kung Fu, kids can now enjoy the best of the best shows in high definition. The channel will soon be available on all cable and DTH platforms in the country.

Last but not the least – SONIC is all set to up the entertainment quotient for kids this season. Further fortifying the high decibel SONIC line-up, superhit hit series Oggy & The Cockroaches will now shift from NICK to SONIC.  Offering a double dose of fun and Masti this quarter, Oggy along with Pakdam Pakdai will make SONIC the ultimate comic-chase destination.
