In a time when rules define the path we tread on, Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ TimeOut cast broke away from the norms of film promotions and took this youth oriented film straight to various schools across Delhi, NCR – with fun interactive sessions involving the school students and getting them to speak on sensitive issues and social stigmas.
Helmed by debutant director Rikhil Bahadur, TimeOut is a coming-of-age story that celebrates the spirit of individuality, and questions the hypocrisies we face in everyday life. Spreading this message, the young actors of the film in the lead roles, Chirag Malhotra and Pranay Pachauri along with director Rikhil took the initiative to visit schools like the Delhi Public School (Gurgaon), Presidium School (Indirapuram), Kothari International school (Noida), Army Public School (Noida), JKG School (Ghaziabad) and Hansraj Model School, Tagore International School, Montfort Sr. Sec. School and SVIS Dwarka.
In a candid interaction with the students of these schools, the TimeOut cast spoke about one making individual choices while also highlighting several taboo topics including homosexuality.
Director Rikhil Bahadur commented saying, “We were interacting with over 500 students at a time and were overwhelmed to see the connection that all the students drew with the message of the film. So many youngsters came out and spoke about their frustration with always being dictated the norms and not having basic freedoms like even choosing what to wear. It was great to see the Principals of all these schools coming out and backing our statements, encouraging our vision for a change.”
Depicting the journey of two brothers, TimeOut promises to take you down memory lane of those rebellious teenage years that many would believe are the toughest years of one’s life.
Presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, this youth flick is produced by Aexor Entertainment and is slated to release on September 25, 2015.
